Memorial Day in Margaretville

We stopped at a converted rail bridge in Poughkeepsie, NY en route to Margaretville. Built over 100 years ago, the bridge was opened to pedestrians and cyclists last October.

Over a mile long...

...and 212 feet tall.

Moya and the nine week old, Bocci.

Lemon pudding pie!

Our first morning there we woke up at 7 and went on a 4 mile run/walk around the mountain, ate breakfast, and then set out on a 24 mile bike ride around the reservoir.

The source of water for us city folk.

11.8 mph

The reservoir...

Moya - country dog

Bocci - enemy of ankles

We feasted like royalty all weekend. Aunt Nancy is an amazing cook...

...and Lenny commands respect from the smoking coals of the grill.
